Participating schools are responsible for selecting their own partner school from the list of registered participants.
ISLM will not assign partners.
Once a suitable school has been identified, the participating schools should communicate directly with one another and coordinate the exchange.
When selecting a partner, please consider:
number of participating students;
grade or age levels;
availability;
time-zone differences;
preferred method of exchange; and
the practical arrangements required for completing the project.
Schools are encouraged to establish clear communication with their partner before committing to the exchange.
The official language of the International Book Review Exchange Project is English.
Participating schools may encourage students to introduce books from their own languages and cultures, but the submitted or exchanged review should be prepared in English to facilitate international sharing and understanding.
After registering, contact your selected partner school and introduce your school, library, and participating students.
Together, agree on:
the number of participating students;
the books or authors students will review;
the number of reviews to be exchanged;
the method of exchange;
the timeline; and
any additional activities you wish to organise.
Reviews may be:
handwritten;
typed or digitally created;
exchanged online; or
sent through traditional postal mail.
Schools may choose the format that is most appropriate for their students and circumstances.
The number of reviews to be exchanged will be specified in the registration form.
Please ensure that the agreed number of reviews is exchanged within the project timeline.
Once a school has agreed to participate with a partner, please make every reasonable effort to complete the exchange.
International projects depend on communication, reliability, and mutual respect. A commitment made to another school represents an opportunity that students on both sides may be eagerly anticipating.
