The capital of Iceland is called Reykjavík.

Vatnajökull, 8.100 km², is the largest glacier in Iceland and in Europe outside the artic zone.

There are a lot of volcanos, in the last 50 year have been 24 eruptions and the last that occurred was in 2010, in Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

Reykjavík was founded in 1786 as a town with 337 residents.

Almost 131.000 people live in Reykjavík in the beginning of the year 2020 and the mayor is Dagur B. Eggertsson.
