The GiggleIT Competition Results.
It was with great excitement and enthusiasm that Dr Ann Carlson Weeks announced the winners of the “Create a New Word for e-Book Competition” Dr. Weeks is a Director of the International Digital Children’s Library (ICDL) and is Professor of Practice in the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland.
As part of the GiggleIT Project’s introductory competition, children of registered schools were asked to participate by creating a new word for e-Book. This competition was a motivational introductory competition to engage the students in Thesaurus and Dictionary usage as they created new vocabulary for the digital age.
