 IASL's Reviews Of Professional Materials

This section of School Libraries Online has reviews of current professional books and other materials of international interest to school librarians and people responsible for school library and information services in schools. It was established at the beginning of 1998, as a service to IASL members and other interested people, and to provide information about publications that are useful for the promotion or improvement of school library services. Selected reviews also appear in the IASL Newsletter, published three times a year. Generally, the reviews selected for the Newsletter are publications from professional associations that are members of IASL.

Reviews remain on the page of current reviews for about six months. After that, they are archived on this Web site.

The IASL Review Editor is Peter Genco (USA). Reviewers, currently from more than a dozen different countries, are selected for their expertise and experience; see the list of reviewers below.

See the list of current materials reviews that are now available online. Reviews will be added to this Web site as they are received, sometimes in advance of the appearance of the printed version of the newsletter. You will find reviews of books, audiovisual and other materials, listed in order of the most recent first. The reviews will remain available on the Web site for at least a year.

See also our Review Archive, where you will find reviews of materials published from 2002 onwards. You will find reviews of books, audiovisual and other materials, listed by publication year, and within that, alphabetically by title.
