Getting Started: Ideas and Procedures for starting a School Library Association or Section

The IASL Newsletter is published three times a year, and distributed all members of the Association. The Newsletter contains professional and news articles; reports of conferences and other Association activities; news about developments in school librarianship from around the world; news from member associations; professional reviews; announcements; and other information of interest to members of the Association. Issue averages around 12 pages and can include inserts, voting information, and promotional material about the IASL annual conference.

Contributions for the newsletter are WELCOMED from around the world! Articles and notices you submit might deal with school library news from your part of the world, information about forthcoming conferences or reports of conferences, information about new documents or reports, discussion of professional issues, news of people or libraries, news from member associations, initiatives in the field of continuing education, developments in education for school librarianship, important local research projects, or any one of a number of other topics related to school libraries and/or information services in schools.
Please submit material directly to the Editor.
Electronic submission of material is preferred, using Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format. Digital images should be saved in no less than 150dpi in TIFF, JPEG or GIFF formats. Email submissions should be as an attachment, or in the body of the message.
Copy that is submitted as printed material with graphics, should include either original photographs, or graphics files saved on CDROM (not photocopies of graphics).
