February 8-9, 2012 --Information for joint IASL and ZimLA regional conference, Masiyephambili College, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

February 27-29, 2012 -- EMMILE in libraries (and beyond) - European Meeting on Media and Information Literacy Education, Milan, Italy. It incorporates the IASL Regional Meeting - Europe, the IFLA SLRC Midterm Meeting, the IASL-IFLA Joint Meeting.

April 26-27, 2012 -- Regional conference on school librarianship -- Bacolod Pavillion Hotel, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. It aims to bring together school librarians in the region to establish and strengthen relationships and support regional cooperation of school librarians.

Global Perspectives on School Libraries: Projects and Practices

The publication is edited by Luisa Marquardt, Director Europe for IASL and Dianne Oberg, former editor of School Libraries Worldwide.
Special arrangement for IASL-members: the same price as IFLA-members. The book will be for sale at both conferences and the satellite event. The official launch of the publication will take place at the IFLA-IASL Satellite meeting, ‘School Libraries: Best Practices for e-Learning' in Kingston, Jamaica on August 5, at the Opening Session of the 40th IASL Annual Conference ‘School Libraries: Empowering the 21st Century Learner’ in Kingston on August 7, 2011 as well as the Open Session of the School Libraries and Resource Centres section of IFLA ‘Student access to new and emerging technologies’ during the WLIC in San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 16, 2011.
