International School Library Month -- October 2008. The theme is: Literacy and Learning at Your School Library
[Note: This section is relevant to presenters whose abstracts have been received and accepted by the IASL 2008 Conference Program Committee.]
Refer to the Paper Guidelines and use the template available for download for proper formatting.
Many, but not all, papers have reviewer comments on their abstracts. Please log into the Online Conference System to view these comments.
Research Forum papers should address research process as well as research product. Please prepare your methods (including sample, data collection, data analysis, etc.) and/or methodology (philosophy, framework, etc.) sections with care and discuss them in your presentation. You may wish to visit How To Write a Research Report if you are not familiar with the format of a research paper.
Upload your final research paper to the IASL online submission Web site no later than 15 May 2008.
All presented papers will be archived on a CD-ROM for all registrants. This CD-ROM may also be made available for purchase from IASL in future years. Please note that we are working to be a “green” conference; therefore, we will not provide paper duplication services. If you would like to distribute printed materials in addition to the digital copy on CD, you may bring your own copies to the conference.
You may view a tentative conference program schedule. Please note that this schedule will update dynamically as changes occur in the months leading up to the conference. You may input this link into your RSS aggregator to receive automatic updates as changes occur.
This year, we have expanded the amount of time available for you to share your paper. As you will see from the tentative schedule, we are scheduling just two Research Forum presentations in each 45-minute slot. We hope you will take advantage of this time as a way to expand beyond a reporting of the Executive Summary and into a thoughtful reflection on the method and methodology of your research. We feel this will benefit your fellow researchers.
We will also invite those attending your presentation to share their feedback via comments. We hope that this feedback will assist in updating your paper for future publication.
