The 2008 IASL Conference

University of California at Berkeley, California, USA, 3-7 August 2008

Theme: World Class Learning and Literacy through School Libraries

37th Annual Conference incorporating the 12th International Forum on Research in School Librarianship

Conference Coordinator: Dr Blanche Woolls

The venue is the Clark Kerr Campus -- check the slideshow of the campus facilities.

This information will help you with planning. The registration cost will be graduated for early registration and onsite registration.

We are planning a preconference tour to Napa Valley (wine country) across the Golden Gate Bridge for lunch and tour at a winery returning to visit school libraries for tea. This will be on August 2 which would mean an arrival on August 1.

We are planning two sessions of pre-conference workshops at the conference site on Sunday. The three-hour sessions will include use of new technologies among other topics.

The opening reception will be Sunday evening.

Exhibits will be open on Monday and Tuesday.

Check the negotiated accommodation arrangements and the registration information.
