The 2008 IASL Conference

Accommodation Information

Clark KerrYou will be housed in the Clark Kerr Conference facility. In the residence halls, bedrooms do not have private bathrooms. Instead, each floor has one central bathroom with private toilets, shower stalls and wash basins. Each bathroom is designated a single gender bathroom. In the suites, two bedrooms share a bathroom. When you choose single occupancy it means you will have the room to yourself. if you choose double occupancy, you will share the bedroom with your roommate.

All rooms have two single beds. Beds are made prior to arrival with bed linen, towels, face cloth and a bar of soap. Beds are made, rooms cleaned and towels changed daily.

Please bring an alarm clock as there are no wake-up calls provided. Rooms do have telephones and local call dialing service (12-mile radius) at no charge. Long distance calls must be charged to calling cards or major credit cards.

All prices are in US Dollars.

Booking for accommodation will be available on the registration form.

Please note that the costs stated below are for housing for the full conference and includes ALL conference meals.

For early arrival on Friday, August 1-7 for tour to winery.
Residence halls (shared bathrooms away from your room.)
$480.00 per person for double occupancy
$600.00 single person

Suites (shared bathroom within the suite between two bedrooms)
$510.00 per person for double occupancy (meaning 2 persons in the room)
$660.00 per person for single occupancy (meaning 1 person in the room)

For early arrival on Saturday, August 2-7 for Sunday workshops.
Residence halls (shared bathrooms)
$440.00 per person for double occupancy
$540.00 per person for single occupancy
Suites (shared bathroom within the suite)
$465.00 per person double occupancy
$590.00 per person single occupancy

For arrival on Sunday, August 3-7 for the conference.
Residence halls (shared bathrooms)
$334.00 per person for double occupancy
$414.00 per person for single occupancy
Suites (shared bathroom within the suite)
$345.00 per person double occupancy
$454.00 per person single occupancy

Commuters (meaning persons who stay off-campus and have only lunch and dinner with the conference) August 3-7 -- cost of meals: $130.00

If you prefer hotel accommodation rather than the residence hall facility, a block of 30 rooms has been reserved at the Hotel Durant, 2600 Durant Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94720 (about 1/2 mile from the campus). You will need to contact them directly on 510-809-4125 or via their reservations website, Hotel Durant -- You will require the Attendee code: H60000 or Group Code: H60000. Rooms have queen beds @ USD 139.00 plus tax per room. Please note the cut-off date for the conference rate is July 1, 2008. Parking will cost USD 20.00 per vehicle per night. You must sign up for the commuter meals @ USD 130.00
