KEN HAYCOCK LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GRANT

[Introduction] [Previous Recipients] [Guidelines for Applicants] [Application Form]

Introduction

Jean Lowrie Leadership Development Grant - Leaders in developing nations are invited to apply for reimbursement of US $1,000 to attend their first IASL annual conference. These grants assist leaders to share their needs and aspirations, to learn from other conference participants, to develop contacts to further their work and to identify strategies that can be used in their home country. Leaders within Zone C are encouraged to apply. (See the Join IASL web page for the countries allocated to Zone C).

Ken Haycock Leadership Developing Grant - Leaders in all countries are invited to apply for reimbursement of US $1,000 to attend their first IASL annual conference. These grants assist leaders to share their needs and aspirations, to learn from other conference participants, to develop contacts to further their work and to identify strategies that can be used in their home country. Leaders within Zone A, Zone B and Zone C are encouraged to apply. (See the Join IASL web page for the countries allocated to Zone A, B and C).

The award is funded through the generosity of IASL members and friends. The first award was named in 1995 in honor of Dr. Jean E. Lowrie, the first president and first executive secretary of the International Association of School Librarianship. The second award was named in 2000 in honor of Dr. Ken Haycock, executive director of the IASL from 1995-2000.
