Creating a Web Page for your School Library
HomeMaker is an Internet service that leads you through the proces of creating a Web page for your library. There are templates (outlines) that you can use as the basis of your pages, while you supply the text and any photographs.
Part of the "From Now On" Web site created by Jamie McKenzie, this page provides links to resources for schools that will help in the process of developing a school Web site. It also lists some useful print resources.
This electronic book has been developed by Craig Nansen for people who are creating Web sites in schools. It covers guidelines and resources for creating school Web pages, Web graphics and icons, introductory HTML (with links to online tutorials), advanced HTML, evaluating Web pages, using forms, setting up and maintaining a Web server, Web page development software, and free Web page housing.

This site was created by Bonnie Skaalid in 1999 to report the results of a Web-based questionnaire survey dealing with instructional Web sites. The results are presented with the idea that other educators might learn from the survey and avoid some of the problems encountered by respondents.
