The two Sections organised a preconference meeting held on 12th August 2005 at Oslo College before the 2005 IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Oslo in August. This was an invitational meeting devoted to a discussion of literacy issues.

On 12 August, registration opened at 8.30 am for 9.00 am at Oslo University College.
