Current Concerns

My deepest concern is the need for warm, personal and meaningful contact by the Board and Executive with the individual members as many times as possible during the year.

Recommendations for the IASL EXECUTIVE / BOARD

  1. With this report, I will formally retire from my position as co-ordinator of this SIG after serving since its inception in 1997 with Dr. Sigrun Klara Hannesdottir. I feel that this is a good time for someone, who is more in tune with the new directions of the association and the changes in the field, can make a new and strong contribution.
  2. It would suggest that the Board may well wish to re-align the work of this SIG with that of the Vice President – Association Relations and with the Regional Directors.

Warmest good wishes to many fine friends in the Association. I will look forward to maintaining contact over the years.

Respectfully submitted 2008.06.05
