What is IASL-LINK?
IASL-LINK is a mail discussion list for and restricted to members of IASL, and as such, is one of the benefits of membership. IASL-LINK offers communication between members of the Association throughout the world and is used for the distribution of announcements or links to discussion papers, articles, news, information about projects, and information from IASL conferences and meetings. The list supports the aims and objectives of the Association by providing a communications link and a means of disseminating information. The list is not intended to replace other activities of the Association, like the IASL Newsletter, but rather to add another dimension to IASL's communications channels.
IASL-LINK is hosted through the Medical Library Association. IASL-LINK messages can be read as email, or read in the IASL-LINK archives. All messages remain part of the IASL-LINK archives for reference. IASL-LINK archives are viewable within each month alphabetically by topic thread, email subject, author, or date.
Messages can be sent to IASL-LINK by anyone who is a member. From time to time, messages will be posted to IASL-LINK for other people, too -- for example, from other professional lists or groups in the field of education or librarianship or from other professional associations in school librarianship and related fields. Members of the Board of IASL, the Newsletter Editor, and the Chairpersons of IASL Committees are able to use IASL-LINK to provide you with information about any new developments.
Members of IASL are automatically added to IASL-LINK if they have not opted out of the list in their member profile.
